The Money dashboard
Read-only view of token revenue, the wallet pool, and the recent wallet-transaction ledger. Currency is KES.
Admin → Money is a read-only dashboard for the token economy: how much has been earned, how many tokens are in circulation, and the most recent wallet movements. Nothing on this page changes balances — top-ups, daily debits, and refunds all happen automatically elsewhere.
Headline numbers
Four KPIs across the top:
- KES earned (all-time) — total revenue from successful M-Pesa top-ups.
- Top-ups · 30d — successful top-ups in the last 30 days, with a 7-day delta.
- Failed top-ups · 7d — STK pushes that didn't complete in the last week.
- Active subscriptions — children currently being token-debited daily (wallet-driven premium: every child of a funded family past their trial).
Learner access mix
Every child bucketed by how they access content right now: Premium (active paid subscription), Trial (unexpired 7-day family trial), and Free plan (two subjects per level) — plus Expiring ≤7d (trials entering the conversion window) and Conversions · 30d (subscriptions activated). Need to grant someone free access? Credit the parent's wallet from their user panel (Adjust balance) and they subscribe normally — payment gates stay intact.
Conversion funnel
An 8-week trend of trials started vs subscriptions activated per ISO week, with a headline 30-day conversion rate — activations ÷ (activations + trials that expired unconverted). Watch it move after each trial-ending notice wave.
Wallet pool
The Wallet Pool card shows the sum of unspent tokens across every parent wallet, plus the all-time total of tokens minted. Tokens are minted by M-Pesa top-ups and burned by the midnight daily-decrement cron, so this tracks how much unspent credit is outstanding.
Recent transactions
The Recent Transactions table lists the last 40 wallet-ledger entries — top-ups (positive tokens) and daily debits / refunds (negative) — with the user, kind, token delta, KES value, and status. Tap any row to open a read-only detail dialog with the full record (M-Pesa code, timestamps, ids) and copy-to-clipboard fields for support.
How money actually moves
- Top-ups arrive via M-Pesa STK push and mint tokens. Pricing is a flat per-token rate (see Tokens & pricing); users choose how many tokens to buy — there are no fixed bundles.
- Daily debits run every midnight EAT for active premium subscriptions.
- Refunds and corrections are handled automatically by the reconciliation job when M-Pesa double-charges or a payment fails after credit — see M-Pesa reconciliation. There is no manual "refund" button here.
Common issues
- A top-up shows as failed but the user was charged. The reconciliation job settles these automatically; confirm on the M-Pesa reconciliation surface before acting.
- The numbers look stale. The dashboard loads once when you open it — navigate away and back to refresh.
