The school verification queue

For admins· 1 min read

Review teacher school claims and transfers — verify the affiliation, or reject with a short reason the claimant sees.

Admin → Verify schools is a two-pane queue: claims (and new-school proposals) on one side, transfers on the other. Filter with the status chips (Pending / Approved / Rejected / All) and the free-text search.

What a claim shows

  • School — name, county, sub-county, level.
  • Claimed by — name, role, phone (tap to call).
  • Evidence and when it was submitted.
  • School contact — the school's verified contact (name, role, phone) so you can call before approving; an amber callout appears when none is on file.

A subject's first school pick auto-confirms so onboarding never blocks on this queue — but it starts as an unverified membership, and that's what you're verifying here. Every later transfer always queues.

Approving

Tap Verify affiliation — or Add to registry + verify when the claim proposes a school that isn't in the registry yet (this is how new schools get created). There's no approval note; only rejections carry one.

Rejecting

Type a short reason — at least 8 characters, the claimant sees it — and Confirm reject.

Common issues

  • Claimant's phone doesn't answer. Try the school contact on the claim; without either, reject with a reason asking them to resubmit with better evidence.
  • Two claims for the same person. Verify the current one and reject the stale one with a note.
