Audience builder

For admins· 1 min read

An audience is a saved role + status combination with a name and an on-demand recipient count — the input to the broadcast composer.

An audience is a saved, named segment and the input to the broadcast composer.

Building

  1. Admin → Audiences → New audience.
  2. Name it.
  3. Pick the two filters — that's the whole model today (the page's own empty state says "save a role + status combo you re-use often"):
    • Role: teacher / parent / student / admin. The parent "active subscriptions" lens means the family wallet is funding daily draws (wallet-driven premium).
    • Status: active / suspended.
  4. Save.

What you can do with an audience

  • Send a broadcast to it — the row links into the composer with the audience preselected. See Sending broadcasts.
  • Refresh count — recipient counts are computed on demand, not live.
  • Set a size threshold — a threshold value can be saved per audience (the alerting that would fire on it is a follow-up; the page says so).
  • Rename or Delete. Filters can't be edited after creation — create a new audience instead.

Audiences are visible to the admin team as a whole; there's no per-admin scoping or share step.

Common issues

  • Count looks stale. Tap Refresh count — it's on-demand by design.
  • Need geography, school, or activity filters. Not available yet; role + status is the current model.
