Show me, Guide me, Let me try

For teachersFor parentsFor students· 1 min read

Every KEYBAKI Labs activity can be learned three ways. What each one does, and when to use it.

Each activity in KEYBAKI Labs, such as saving a file or sending an email with an attachment, can be learned three ways. Go through them in order the first time.

1. Show me

Tcha does the task on the practice computer while you watch, and explains each step out loud. Captions show what Tcha says, so you can follow with the sound off.

2. Guide me

Now you do it. Tcha lights up the next thing to click and waits for you. If you get stuck, Tcha shows you again.

3. Let me try

You do the whole task on your own, with no hints. When you finish, it counts as an independent task on My Skills.

Then practise

After an activity, its practice set gives you more problems to try on your own (Practice sets). When you feel ready, take the area's skill check (Skill checks and My Skills).

Common issues

  • I can't hear Tcha. Check the device volume. On an iPhone, the silent switch can mute the voice; the captions still show.
  • Guide me or Let me try won't start on my phone. These need a computer with a keyboard and mouse. Show me works on a phone (Using KEYBAKI Labs on a phone).
