Reading your CEA results
The results screen has four sections — score, per-question, competency mastery, and weak strands. Here's how to read each.
When a CEA submits, the results screen renders four panels — the score hero and the weak-strand callout run full-width, with the middle two side by side on laptop+.
1. Score hero
A donut chart with your percent + the grade band:
- ≥ 80% — Excellent
- 60–79% — Good
- 40–59% — Developing
- < 40% — Practice more
The hero also shows correct/total/skipped, duration, and the CFItem badge — the KICD reference for this strand.
2. Question breakdown
One expandable row per question:
- Green check — correct
- Red x — missed
- Grey alert — skipped
The question text is on the row; tap it to reveal the explanation. Explanations explain the concept, not just confirm the answer.
3. Competency mastery
Horizontal bars, one per CBC competency that appeared in the question set (Critical thinking, Communication, Self-efficacy, Citizenship, Learning to learn, Digital literacy, Imagination & creativity). Each bar shows correct/total + percent for that competency.
This is the most useful panel for spotting patterns. A 100% in Critical thinking but 40% in Communication tells you something a raw score doesn't.
4. Weak strands
If wrong answers clustered around specific sub-strands, they list here in amber with Browse buttons that open the library at that sub-strand's shelf.
Retaking
The footer has Retake with new pool. Builds a fresh attempt from a different question selection in the same strand. Your previous attempt stays in history.
Worksheet results look different
If you took a worksheet from inside a book rather than a CEA, you'll see a simpler marked page — a plain marks fraction, a coaching line, and your answers checked — with no competency bars or weak-strand list. That's by design: Worksheets inside books.
Common issues
- Competency bars are missing. Some pools predate the competency-tagging pass. KICD is back-filling; older strands may show fewer bars.
- Weak-strand list is empty. You scored too high for the recommender to suggest specifics — nothing was meaningfully missed. Move to the next strand.
