Removing a child
For parents· 1 min read
Removing a child is immediate and permanent — their CEA history, subscription record, and linked student account are deleted on confirm.
Removing a child deletes them from your family immediately and permanently. There is no grace period: the child's row and everything hanging off it — CEA history, subscription record, and any linked student account — are deleted the moment you confirm.
When to remove
- You added the wrong child (typo, duplicate).
- The child no longer uses Keybaki and you want their data gone.
If the child is simply moving to another parent's account, be aware there is no transfer path — removal deletes their history, and the other parent adding them starts a brand-new child from zero.
Steps
- Family → find the child's card.
- Tap the trash icon on the card.
- A confirmation dialog opens: "This deletes 's CEA history, subscription, and any linked student account. This can't be undone."
- Tap Remove.
What happens
- The child's card disappears from your Family screen immediately.
- The child can no longer sign in; any linked student account is deleted.
- The child's daily token draw stops — the wallet only debits for children still in the family.
- Their CEA attempts, streaks, and subscription record are deleted with the row.
Common issues
- Accidentally removed the wrong child. Removal can't be undone — the data is gone. Re-adding creates a brand-new child with no history.
- I re-added my child but their CEA history is empty. Expected: the new child is a fresh row. History from the removed child was deleted at removal.
