Binding a plan to a timetable block

Plans schedule themselves against your weekly timetable: the wizard asks which recurring block the lesson sits in, and that choice drives the date and the duration everything else budgets against.

How binding works

On the wizard's Lesson steps step (the schedule bar at the top):

1. Pick one of your recurring blocks for the plan's subject and grade — e.g. Friday, 8:00 – 8:40 AM.
2. The lesson duration fills in from the block's length, and the date picker offers the next four occurrences of that weekday.
3. Pick the date. The schedule then collapses to a one-line summary — tap Change to adjust it later.

No blocks yet (or none for this subject + grade)? The step points you to Timetable to add one first — the wizard can't finish without a block and date.

What the binding drives

• The minute budget — your lesson steps' total tracks against the block's duration, and Distribute N min evenly splits it across steps.
• Home placement — the closest upcoming plan surfaces on your home screen with its time.
• The plans list — plans carry their lesson date, so the list reads chronologically.

Changing the slot later

Open the plan → Edit steps (or Continue editing) → tap Change on the schedule bar → pick a different block or date. Past dates are rejected — plans schedule forward.

Common issues

• The block I teach isn't offered. The picker filters to blocks matching the plan's subject and grade. Add the missing block on Timetable, then return.
• I changed the block but my step minutes look wrong. The duration follows the block; use Distribute N min evenly to re-split, then fine-tune.
