Timetable week view

For teachers· 2 min read

A scrollable 5-day grid showing every class block, plan binding, and free slot for the current week.

The Timetable lays out your recurring weekly classes as a grid of class blocks by day and time. Each block holds a subject, grade, classroom (optional), and optionally a bound plan.

What you see

  • 5-column grid — Monday to Friday, scrollable horizontally on phone.
  • Time rows — hourly marks from 8 AM to 4 PM, stretching automatically if you have earlier or later blocks.
  • Block cards — coloured by subject. Show subject + grade + room.
  • Plan binding badge — a small green dot if a plan is bound; tap the block to see plan title.
  • Today highlight — today's column has a subtle accent fill.

Creating a block

  1. Tap Add Block in the top bar.
  2. The block-editor sheet opens. Pick subject, grade, classroom, and time — the time picker only offers slots still free that day, with a "Taken" readout of what's already scheduled.
  3. Tap Add block (or Save changes when editing). The block appears immediately.

Editing or deleting

Tap an existing block:

  • Tap Edit to change subject, grade, room, or time.
  • Tap Delete to remove the block. If a plan is bound, the binding is severed (the plan keeps its own status).

Recurring blocks

Every block repeats weekly by definition — the editor notes "Repeats every week" — so one block covers the whole term; edits propagate.

Common issues

  • I can't pick the time I want. Another block already holds it that day — the editor only offers free times and lists what's taken under the picker. Pick a free slot, or edit/delete the other block first.
  • Plan binding shows but plan doesn't open. The bound plan was deleted or moved to a different subject/grade. The badge persists; tap the block and pick Unbind to clear.
