Plans overview

For teachers· 1 min read

How lesson plans flow through Draft → Ready → Delivered and what each status unlocks downstream.

The Plans surface is the teacher's spine in Keybaki. Every plan binds to a CBE strand and tracks lifecycle from idea to delivered, so coverage rolls up automatically and the term overview shows where you actually stand.

How plans flow

  1. Draft — created via the 5-step wizard. Visible only to you. No effect on coverage.
  2. Ready — you tapped Mark ready: the lesson is prepped and scheduled against its timetable block.
  3. Delivered — marked after class. Counts toward strand coverage in the term overview.

Where plans live

  • Home — today's Ready/Delivered plans + an "Up next" hero for the closest upcoming block.
  • Plans list — active plans, with archived lessons in a separate filter, filterable by subject, grade, status, and date range.
  • Plan detail — full 5E framework view, attached library items, attachments.
  • Term overview — coverage by strand with deltas against your term target.

Quick tips

  • Pick the timetable block at create-time — it fills the date options and sets the minute budget your lesson steps track against.
  • Duplicate a Delivered plan to start next year's version with the same scaffolding — change the date, swap any stale links, save.
  • Plans never auto-delete. Archive what you don't need so the list stays scannable.

Common issues

  • My plan won't show as Delivered. Delivery is an explicit tap — Mark delivered on the plan after class (the presenter's closing slide reminds you).
  • Coverage shows 0% for a strand I taught. Coverage counts Delivered plans only. Check the status of the relevant plans in the list.

The Taught filter and Mark Taught action refer to the Delivered status used by coverage reporting. Use Again duplicates a lesson as an unscheduled draft.
