Welcome to Keybaki

A 30-second tour of what Keybaki does and how the four roles fit together.

Keybaki is a CBE e-learning platform built around the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) competency-based curriculum. The product has four roles — teachers, parents, students, and admins — and each gets a tailored surface.

Start with your role

New here? Jump straight to your role's overview:

  • Teachers → — turn library content into ready lesson plans.
  • Parents → — one phone, every grade, online or offline.
  • Students → — your library, quizzes on any strand, and your streak.
  • Admins → — curriculum coverage and school-wide messaging.

What each role does

  1. Teachers plan lessons, present them, run library and CEA workflows, and track strand coverage across the term.
  2. Parents add their children, set PINs, monitor progress, and top up the token wallet that pays for premium content.
  3. Students take 5-minute Competency Evaluation Assessments (CEAs), browse the library, and build their daily streak.
  4. Admins moderate accounts, verify schools, manage content, and run platform operations.

Common workflows

  • A teacher creates a lesson plan via the 5-step wizard, optionally attaches resources, then presents it to their class.
  • A parent adds a child, sets a 4-digit PIN, and shares it with the child to sign in.
  • A student picks a strand, takes a CEA, and follows the library jumps for any weak strands the results surface.

Where to look next

  • If you're signing in for the first time, start with Signing in by phone or PIN.
  • If you're a teacher building your first plan, jump to The 5-step plan wizard.
  • If you're a parent setting up a child account, read Adding a child.
